  1. Discrimination towards poeple to me means that you can put down someone and not treating people fairly. We see discrimination all around the world. People everyday on the news or in the media are discriminated everyday. Whenever you gear the latest story on who got drunk or who said something about someone untrue about somebody its spread all across the world/media/news. on the news when people talk about our president and how they dont like him. Even though you diont like someone or something someone has done doesnt give you the right to discriminate them.

  2. Discrimination is when someone isn't getting fairly treated by someone else, when another person is getting treated better. We see discrimination in our past, because of slavery and in the 1900's they had different options and if you were a different ethnicity then you wouldn't be hired. Also there is discrimination where we are to blind to look at. Even if you don't notice it, it can be happening in front of your nose, but we don't relize it.We also see it in the news, because it IS a big deal and it means so much to people, and it should, it is a serious issue. That is what discrimination is and where you can see it.

  7. Discrimination is when you exclude or make fun of someone because of their race, gender, clothes, looks, opinions, height, etc... The most hurtful discrimination in my mind is racial discrimination because you can't do anything to change your race, it isn't your fault, so people don't have the right to make fun of you. You should accept and include everyone regardless of their race, etc...

  20. Discrimination is excluding somebody, something, or anything what have you, because of characteristic[s] about them. Some include race, physical appearence, sexuality, attitude, personality, etc. We see discrimination everywhere including the past, the present, at home, at school, among adults/children, and around the globe. Normally, judgemental people discriminate the most since they judge the "book" by it's "cover" but they never really know whats inside. This can result in many minor problems, and as we have seen, it can cause national problems as well.

  23. Discrimintion is being unfair. It is wrong treatment of people of other race, class, religion, or any other group. Discrimination can be not including them, mocking them, opposing sides with them, or putting them down.

When we study history we learn about many times where racism was present. Being racist is being discrimatory because both ways, you are putting down another race or group. In history we also learn about times where men were at higher class than women, and of more value. This is also discrimination.

  27. I think discrinination is treatment towards a person based on personal or physical traits/characteristics. Discrimination is seen everywhere and anywhere. While I was watching TV, I clicked a channel and it was called "What would happen." I was curious because of the name so I kept watching. It was seening what would happen in different situations. One of the situations is a perfect example for this topic. The situation was that a couple was physically fighting publically in a park. There were actors playing this out. They tried it with a white couple and a black couple. One comment that I clearly remember someone saying to the black "couple" was " This is not the time nor place for you to be doing this." I was so horrified by this man, he was saying that this "husband" shouldn't she beatng his "wife" in the park publically but rather at home. With the white "couple", people stayed with them and helped the "wife." I believe that this is a classic display of discrimination. I aso believe that saying "that's gay" is completely wrong and totally offensive and another type of discrimination. There are many types of discrimination, which I feel are mostly all equally as bad as the other.
